Pac Man Arcade
Life-Size Installation
My early college days included creating life-size products by hand, often from scratch. One such product was an arcade game installation created by me and my team of 5 other members. Moving between wood and metal workshops, the game stand was ready in 3 months.
My Role: Industrial Designer

Why Pac Man?
The theme for our college's annual fest for 2020 was Electro Carnival - vibrant vibes, neon colors to deliver a memorable and immersive experience.
My group and I wanted to create an interactive installation while aiming to bring back the charm of retro arcade gaming areas. Inspired from the famous Pac Man game, we came up with a twist to the game - turning the hunt to a time-sensitive maze.

How we brought it to life
We began with planning the maze. After multiple trial and errors, we finalised on an octagon base with raised walls for the Pac Man ball to move through. Handles are attached to the maze so the player moves the whole maze to move the ball.
The shape of the arcade stand is organic and curved at crucial places to provide comfort during focused games. Colorful exterior decor and attractive signs added to the look and feel of a 90's game room.
